Minor in Japanese
Japanese Minor — 24 units
Upper-division courses in Japanese are generally conducted in Japanese, and students are expected to use Japanese in their speaking, reading, and writing. All coursework used to satisfy the requirements of the minor must be completed with a GPA of 2.0 or better. At least 12 units in the minor must be taken at SF State. If course waivers are given for AP credit, advanced proficiency in the Japanese language, challenge by examination, or transfer credit from other institutions, additional upper-division JAPN courses may be needed to meet the 12 unit residence requirement.
