ENV 205 Our Environment Through Data (Units: 3)

Prerequisites: Restricted to sophomore standing and above; GE Area 2/B4; GEOG 101 or ERTH 112 or ERTH 230 or equivalent.

Data-driven methods and techniques in understanding our environment, including data acquisition, elementary statistics, and spatial analysis through map reading, GIS, and remote sensing. Lecture, 2 units; activity, 1 unit. [Formerly GEOG 205]

ENV 500GW Physical and Human Dimensions of Climate Change - GWAR (Units: 3)

Prerequisites: GE Area 1A/A2; GEOG 101 or ERTH 112 or ERTH 230 or equivalent.

An interdisciplinary investigation of climate change including the causes, environmental and societal impacts as well as mitigation and adaptation strategies. Bridges traditional biophysical and social science fields of investigation, and explores multiple associated writing conventions. (Plus-minus ABC/NC grading only) [Formerly GEOG 500GW]

Prerequisites: Senior School of the Environment students; ENV 205 and ENV 500GW.
