Certificate in Business Analytics

The Certificate in Business Analytics is designed to give students a well-rounded foundation in analytics in eight courses. Taking courses from the Decision Sciences, Economics, and Information Systems departments, students will be prepared to launch a career or enroll in a Master of Science program in analytics. Through SF State activities, students will have opportunities to experience innovation firsthand and network with entrepreneurs, founders, innovators and more.

Admissions Requirements

Applicants must have completed at least 56 units of university coursework with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and provide official evidence of English proficiency as listed here: English Proficiency Requirement. Students must have a statistics course equivalent to DS 212, ECON 311, or MATH 124 and an information systems course equivalent to ISYS 263. Students admitted conditionally will be expected to complete the missing coursework in order meet necessary prerequisite requirements. To take the economics courses in the certificate, students would need to have the equivalent of ECON 101 and ECON 102.
